Universal Health Care

Democratic Candidates running for the ’08 presidential election have proposed two similar, but yet different health care plans. They both want to provide affordable and accessible health care for every American. In this page we show how they are able to make this possible. We also bring out how Barrack Obama has a better health plan than what Hillary has to offer.

What The Plans Have In Common

·
Make sure the 47 million uninsured Americans are covered, and the Americans with plans that are not so great, are covered as well.
· Health Plans that are at least as good as the plans offered to members of congress.
· Plan that is more affordable for American citizens.
· Lower the cost of prescription drugs.
· Strengthen Medicaid and CHIP.
· Employers will be expected to provide or contribute to cost of coverage.
· Modernizing in electronic health information technology systems.
· Security, so that no American is turned down.

What Hillary Clintons Plan Does Not Have
haha.jpg
·
Easy enrollment.
· The ability to have the choice whether or not to be part of a health plan.
· Citizens will have the ability to move from job to job without jeopardizing health coverage.
· Protection for our children from lead poisoning.
· Reducing the risk of mercury pollution.
· Insurance reform, it will prevent insurers from overcharging physicians for their malpractice insurance.
· Mandatory coverage for children.
· The requirement for hospitals and providers to collect and publicly report the measures of health care cost and quality.

How Will This Be Paid For

o Reducing Costs of Catastrophic Illnesses for Employers and Their Employees.

You don’t have to worry about being turned down for health care.
· Everyone is treated equally.
· Can ensure quality health care.
· No difference in pricing for procedures.
· Cheaper drug prescriptions.

Cons Of Universal Health Care

·
Higher Taxes.
· There is no tell in when you will be treated.
· No choice in type of health plan you want.
· Minors would be chosen over adults, to save next generations.

What We Think

We are in much favor of candidate Barack Obama’s health plan he has proposed. We favor how he concerned about our next generation, and how it is mandatory for all children up to the age of 25 to be covered. These are the people of the future and are capable of creating a better world, we fell these people should be in good health to create a better tomorrow, this is one of the reasons we support his proposal. We also favor how he wants hospitals and providers to report to the public updates on costs of health care and the quality, so that we citizens feel that we know what is going on.

We support universal health care for several reasons. One reason being we don’t have to worry about extremely high premiums and being worried if our insurance provider will drop us. Another reason is that we are more worried about our children’s future because they’re going to live longer, so if they’re healthy and don’t have to worry about coming out the pocket unexpectedly for health, the better. Paying higher taxes does not worry us much as being worried about if you’re able to afford to even live and be healthy.
